This is just a minor issue which may be ignored
If still feel that this may create any problem then you may get a notarized affidavit stating both the names are one and the same
Keep this affidavit with your documents

Advocate, Mumbai 96195 Answers 7739 ConsultationsHi My 12th was done many years back, so that cannot be changed now. Also, as mentioned, my passport has the name with 'gg'. To get parent's name changed on passport to single 'g', I will need their supporting document where their name is 'g' which is not present. it is only in my documents that their name has single 'g'. About affidavit, I would like to ask would 1. While making the affidavit, Would i need to give my parents document in which their name has single 'g' and/or document in which their name has double 'g' (both, one or none) or my document with their name as mentioned in sample affidavit below is enough ? 2. Once I have the affidavit, do i need to go through the process of publishing an advertisement in newspaper? In short, can anyone/any institution reject my name because I don't have a newspaper publication? III. Please suggest me if there would be a problem in what i am thinking for the next few steps: 1. Leave the 10th marksheet as it is. (with single 'g') 2. Leave the 12th marksheet and passport as they are (with double 'g') 3. Get my college degree changed from single 'g' to double 'g' (Verified by the college) 4. Change my name in PAN card from single 'g' to double 'g' as per my name in passport (With passport as only supporting document) (Would be done in two weeks) 5. Change my name in aadhar card from single 'g' to double 'g' as per my name in passport (With passport as only supporting document) (Would be doen in two weeks) 6 Not updating the driving licence. 7. Having an affidavit which states something like: ---------- Start of Sample Affidavit -------------- I Punit Aggarwal s/o Ajay Aggarwal r/o " Current Address" and permanent address "Permanent Address" do solemnly pledge and affirm 1. 2. "Including all legal points of standard name change affidavit that are always same" 4. 5. Punit Aggarwal and Punit Agarwal are same person. 6. Ajay Aggarwal and Ajay Aggarwal is name of my father 7. Sunita Aggarwal and Sunita Agarwal and Sunitha Agarwal is name of my mother 8. My name in my passport is Punit Aggarwal and my Class 10th Certificate is Punit Agarwal. 9. My father's name as per my Passport is Ajay Aggarwal and as per my class 10th certificate is Ajay Agarwal 10. My mother's name as per my passport is Sunita Aggarwal and as per my Class 10th marksheet is Sunitha Agarwal (There is an extra h as well in my 10th mother's name) and as per my driving licence is Sunita Agarwal Including all legal points of standard name change affidavit below as well ---------- End of Sample Affidavit -------------- Sorry for the long comment but please help me by finding any mistake in my approach.Asked 7 years ago
1) You need to give your parents documents which have single g
2) advertisements in newspapers is not necessary
3) you should not change your college degree certificate to double gg nor your pan card nor aadhar card
4) it is minor typographical error affidavit should suffice
